Entertain your guests with our unique candle-making experience! Whether you’re catching up with family or planning a corporate event, making handmade candles is great for every occasion.

When you book our Candle N Counter Experience, all of your guests will get a brief tutorial on candle making from an expert Candle Designer. Your guests will be able to choose from 20 fragrance oils and create their own unique scent.

After mixing wax and fragrance, there is a 60-90 minute hardening time to reach the finished product.

  • Get an expert Candle Designer to guide you through the candle-making process
  • 90-120 Minutes of Candle Making 
  • Booking includes all Candle Making Supplies + *CLEAN* ingredients: Virgin Coconut Soy Wax, (12 oz) Candle Vessels, Wooden Wicks, and 20 Fragrance Oils
  • Custom candle labels for each guest to make their own 
  • Guests receive 1 finished luxury handmade candle
  • Candle burning tips to encourage a long-lasting bold scent

Pricing

  • $50 per person which includes all candle-making supplies 
  • $55 offsite travel fee (Servicing only Greater San Diego)
  • Deposits are non-refundable and secure your chosen date and time for your event. 
  • The balance of the invoice must be paid at least 3-weeks prior to the event date.
  • The minimum requirement for group parties is 10 guests at $50 per candle-making set. 
  • For events with over 25 guests, please contact our team directly: candlencounter@gmail.com so we can make sure we can accommodate your larger party.

FAQ

Please book as soon as possible! We are already booking for 2023. Weekend dates book up quickly, so if you would like a weekend date, please book at least 2 weeks in advance. We always try our best to schedule you, but sometimes it might not be possible.

As of right now, we are only servicing Greater San Diego, CA. There is a travel fee of $55 added with every booking no matter the location.

To secure your date, please fill out the booking form on our contact page.

We will email you our proposal and booking confirmation with your desired date, time, and instructions. You will need to sign our contract and pay half of the invoiced price. Once that is completed your date/event is secured for the date!

Unfortunately there are no refunds. After you sign our services and pay half of the dues, we can reschedule your event for a future date. Please let us know as soon as possible if your date no longer works or if you are needing to reschedule. There is an added $100 fee for late cancellations within 24 hour notice.

The Candle Making party starts right at the time of booking.

Communication is key, we allow up to 10 minutes, but we kindly ask to let us know if you forsee your timing changing. Late guests can tune in upon arrival and the Waxpert can help them from there.

If you are 30 minutes or more late from event start time, this bleeds into your time of your reservation. Additional time might on the end of your picnic may be able to be added for $25.

The kitchen! All of our Candle Designers need to start the candle making party is access to electricity to melt wax and a clean table top for you and your guests to make your candles. Please make sure space is large enough for your guests to comfortably make their candles.

Guests making candles can sit either at a dining table or at a kitchen counter/island to curate their candles.

Unfortunately our Candle Designer will only be prepared for the number of people booked. Please contact us immediately if you suspect there will be additions to your party. We don’t want anyone to leave empty handed!

Yes, our charcuterie boards can be gluten free, vegetarian, or vegan, please let us know in your booking inquiry any restrictions or substitutions for allergies.

Boozy Bingo is a fun addition to the Candle Making party! While your candles are hardening, your guests can play Boozy Bingo. Candle N Counter will supply the full Bingo Game as well as 1 special gift for the winner.

Yes! We can create a custom label specific to your event at an additional cost. Please make sure to add this when booking and contact us with what you have in mind.

All Attendees at each Candle Making Experience must sign a Liability Waiver before any candle making is done.
